the warehouse...

It's Thursday... really? I woke up this morning thinking it was like Tuesday and then it hit me like a mad truck that it is indeed Thursday! Do you know what Thursday is {besides Papa's Birthday}... it's MY LITTLE SHOEBOX WAREHOUSE DAY!!! It was an honor to join these fabulous ladies at the warehouse for sneak peeks and sorting new goodies. Now, I know I can't spill the super-ultra-oh-my-goodness-top-secret-creative-genius I witnessed today but trust me scrappers... you are gonna go BONKERS! For you non-scrappers you will be cheery excited opening some of the presents I have planned for this new release. I can only describe the experience as DELIGHTFUL!!! The sheer feeling of creative ideas just bursting out of your brains because you are so inspired because the colors just get you or the icon speaks to you is a rush I love love love to get!!! Now... if I could just get the kids to go to bed at 4pm I could get started!!!

This is my super silly twin Erin... she is SO many things but today when we decided to jump out of the drive thru line at Starbucks to take a picture you can only describe her as silly!

MLS goodies...

Have you ever had one of those days where you start out with a plan, a list of a zillion things that need to get done before 3pm and then... life happens? Yep, today is one of those days. Instead of crossing things off my list, I am nursing a sick 3 year old who keeps asking "Mommy, can I hold you?" Who could say no to that right? So, I am sitting on the couch with my laptop on one knee and my 3 year old curled up on the other side, watching Pixar Disney movies. It is nice to stop and relish in the little moments, just feeling a little guilty that it took an ear infection to slow us down. Here are some MLS goodies with their last release... I heart MLS!

Note to self: slow down more & add "time on the couch" to the list of things "to do."

My Little Shoebox Announcement!!!

As many of you know I am totally smitten with the art of scrapbooking. Who would of thought that paper and glue could get a girl so excited right? Well... there is a group of ladies who are just as giddy as I am and I am humbled to be in their company. My Little Shoebox announced their new design team and I encourage you to meet all of them! There is so much talent among these ladies and I look forward to the opportunity to create with them!!!

So this is my most favorite project thus far! A lot of love went into this vintage cookbook meets My Little Shoebox creation. This book is filled with the old and the new... with stories galore! I used a dozen different lines from My Little Shoebox {see, so much versatility in one company - I LOVE IT!} along with some Glimmer Mist, Glossy Accents {which is an ABSOLUTE must for me!} and other fabulous embellishments!

Creative Cheers!!!

painter's tray...

So a friend of the family invited us up to his vineyard in the Napa valley for the day and of course we jumped at the opportunity. It was such a great day, filled with the fresh Napa breeze, beautiful surroundings and amazing vino! For me it is important to say thank you in a special way, especially when our friends went all out for us. After some thought and reorganizing of the scrap room, I came across the 7 Gypsies painter's tray {actually, I have 3 because when I was at our local scrap store I had a major case of "idea-a-phoria" so I bought all they had left} just sitting on the closet shelf just screaming... CREATE SOMETHING WITH ME in this willowing, creative whisper. So... after the prep, cutting & repositioning... 3 hours later here was the end result.
I used Popsicle Glimmer Mist on Paris Nights paper by g.c.d Studios for the grapes, topped off with a little ribbon, set on more Paris Nights paper.
For the heart which I found at a chain craft store, I used a wooden stamp & Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I HEART Tim's Distress ink... let's be honest, I HEART Tim's creativity!
For the flower... 2 plain craft flowers sprayed with Peppermint Stick Glimmer Mist and a nice vintage metal mini door knocker as the center. The ends were then distress with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I must say this might be my new "go-to" present!

Cheers!
